DUE TO THE WEATHER, THE SERVICE FOR CAROL ANN SCOTT HAS BE RESCHEDULED FOR 3 P.M. MONDAY JANUARY 26th. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS FROM 1 p.m. to 3 P.M. PRIOR TO THE FUNERAL SERVICE ON MONDAY.
Carol Ann Scott, 56, of Chillicothe, passed at 4:14 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 in the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly.
She was born July 16, 1969, in Chillicothe, to the late Earnest E. and Ellen Smith Adkins. On July 2, 1998, she married Anthony G. Scott who survives.
In addition to her husband, surviving are children, Stephen (Kaylie) Scott, Skyler (Brittany) Scott, and Austin (Emily Thompson) Scott, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Riley, Gauge, Anaya, Baker and Baby Scott due in August; sisters, Gina Adkins, of Chillicothe and Diana (Roy) Blankenship, of Circleville; several nieces and nephews including, Penny Hall and Cash Coppel; brothers-in-laws, Herschel and Tony Scott; and a sister-in-law, Stephanie Render. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a great nephew, Leightyn Lee.
Carol was a shining light in the lives that all had the privilege of knowing her. She had an infectious laugh that would fill a room and bring joy to the people around her. You could find her spending time with her family playing cards, crafting, fishing, playing bingo and creating fun memories with her grandchildren who she loved unconditionally an who brought so much joy and happiness to her life. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more that had the privilege of knowing her. Carol dedicated her life to her family with unwavering love and support. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived as she loved her life and lived it to the fullest. Carol had worked at McDonald’s in Lebanon, Ohio but will be remembered for her devotion to her husband, sons and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Nick Bevan officiating. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contribution be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
