Carolyn J. DeLong

     Carolyn J. DeLong, 78, of Chillicothe, passed away at 3:16 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2025 in The Vineyards at Concord a brief illness.

     She was born February 15, 1947, in Davisville, Ohio, to the late Garnett L. Morris.  On August 27, 1979, she married George DeLong who passed March 15, 2019.

     She is survived by her son, Chad (Bobbie) Wyatt, of Chillicothe; brothers, Darrell Morris, whom she cared for until her illness and Merle (Sharon) Morris; sisters, Patricia Elkins and Debbie (Fred) Crabtree; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and mother, she was predeceased by a stillborn twin sister and a brother, Arthur Morris Jr.

     Carolyn retired from Jackson Plastics in 2013 after 40 plus years of employment.  She loved to play bingo, online games and spend time with her family.  Carolyn never knew a stranger and always had a smile.  She loved her canine companion, Princess with all of her heart. 

     The family would like to thank the NCR Hospice team and the team at The Vineyards at Concord, especially Laura. 

     A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2025 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Fred Crabtree officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
