Carolyn A. Proehl

     Carolyn A. Proehl, 70, of Chillicothe, died Friday, December 31, 2021 in her sleep peacefully at her home.

     She was born January 25, 1951, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to William and Donna Turner Oyer both who survive of Chillicothe.

     Also surviving are her daughters, whom she considered her best friends, Amy Blair and Michelle Proehl, both of Chillicothe; a grandson, Wade “Boo Bear” Blair; a sister, Deanna Malone, of Chillicothe; and special nieces and a nephew.  She was predeceased by the father of her children, Jeffrey Lloyd Proehl and her maternal and paternal grandparents. 

     She loved spending time with family, reading, fishing and she had a big heart for animals.  Carolyn became an LPN because she wanted to help other people.  She worked for many facilities in southern Ohio, including Traditions of Chillicothe where she retired from following a stroke. 

     Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Doug Campbell officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. 

     Memorial contributions may be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
