Charles "Charlie" Ault

    Charles “Charlie” Ault, 69, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at OSU Hospital on August 22, 2024 following an extended illness. 

     He was born May 23, 1955 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Ed and Helen (Dagon) Ault. On August 30, 1993, he married the former Marcia Keesee, who survives. 

     In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Sonya (Joe) Mitchell of Frankfort, Kenny (Sara) Ault of Chillicothe, Stephanie Owens of Lynchburg and Terran (Josh) Yoakem of Greenfield; 8 grandchildren: Eli, Hannah, Dylan, Makayla, Emily, Ethan, Reese and Laura; brothers: Tim (Pam) Ault of Dublin and Randy (Sheila) Ault of South Bloomfield; sisters-in-law: Yvonne (Larry) Young of Chillicothe and Vicki Spencer of Chillicothe; brother-in-law: Mike (Lisa) Keesee of Chillicothe; a special uncle, Jimmy Ault of Florida; and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law Don Keesee, mother-in-law Imogene Keesee and brother-in-law Larry Spencer. 

     Charlie was a 1973 Unioto graduate, a proud US Navy veteran, serving his country from 1973-1977 and worked at Chilpaco for 34 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

     The family would like to thank the OSU Hospice team for their excellent compassion and care in Charlie’s final hours and his home health care providers that cared for him over the past few years. 

     Visitation will be held 6- 8 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2024 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME.  Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
