Clifford N. "Mort" Mortimer

     Clifford N. Mortimer, Jr. 88, of Chillicothe, passed 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Mt. Carmel East Hospital.

     He was born November 5, 1933, in Chillicothe, to the late Clifford Sr. and Lillian Yerian Mortimer.

     Surviving are a sister, Karen (Roger) Cruse; a brother, George “Guy” Mortimer; niece, Kelly Cruse; a great-nephew and a great-niece kitties, Jason and Lily; nieces and nephews, Lisa (Paul) Williams, Roger (Dana) Cruse, Paul (Carol) Mortimer, Dorothy Ann Daugherty, Dean Mortimer, and Rick, Debbie, and Chris Daniels and brother-in-law, Paul Daniels; and several great nieces and nephews. Mort was predeceased by, a sister and brother-in-law, Audrey “Wanda” and George Tatman, a sister, Patricia Daniels; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Mortimer

     Clifford was a graduate of Huntington High School Class of 1954. He was a member of The Friends of the Chillicothe Public Library and Grace Fellowship Church. He liked traveling, fishing, going to auto races and was a Civil War and history buff. Clifford retired from Chillicothe Holiday Inn, after many years of service.

     Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in the WARE FUENRAL HOME. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Ware Funeral Home.
