Clyde Rodgers Obituary

Clyde Rodgers, 43 of Piketon, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home after a strong fight with cancer. He was deeply loved by many and will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to others.

Clyde spent many years working for Scioto Valley Local Schools, where he formed lifelong friendships and found great joy in supporting both his coworkers and the children he cared for each day. His presence in the school community was a blessing to all who knew him.

Clyde is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Rodgers; his son, Clyde “CJ” Rodgers; and his daughter, Jordan (James) Dawkins. He was the proud grandfather of three grandchildren he adored with all his heart: Nicholas Beard, Taylor Dawkins, and Alijah Beard. Clyde also leaves behind his mother, Mary Rodgers, and his sister, Christina Rodgers, who will forever cherish his memory.  He is preceded in death by his father, Clyde Rodgers and his mother-in-law, Victoria Parks.

Clyde had a special love for his fur babies, he also loved to travel, and helping anyone in need. He was well known for his willingness to lend a hand, no matter the circumstance. His compassion, strength, and fighting spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Clyde will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, service, and resilience will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Richard and Deborah Dawkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
