David B. Mitchell

   David B. Mitchell, 68, of Chillicothe, passed 4:35 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

   He was born October 19, 1956 in Chillicothe to Mary Lou Mitchell.  On June 5, 1990 he married Beth McFadgen who preceded him January 12, 2020.

   Also surviving are sons, Samuel (Carissa) Mitchell, of Chillicothe and Travis (Racheal) Mitchell, of Circleville; grandchildren, Adaleigh, Brooks, Chessa, Jaycee and Waylon brothers, Wayne Patrick (Annette) O’Bryant and Richard (Michelle) O’Bryant, both of Chillicothe; sister, Kimberly (Mark) Bonar and his canine companions, Rocco and Annie.  He was predeceased by his dad, Wayne O’Bryant.

   David retired from the former Tim Short Auto Dealership in Portsmouth.  He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and F.O.E. Aerie #600.  He was always a fan of Sprint Car and Slot Car racing.  David also love playing his bass guitar, was an avid motorcycle rider earning his nickname “Routecard.”

   The family would like to thank David’s caregivers at the Adena Cancer Center and Adena Palliative & Hospice Services for the exceptional care they provided him.

   Following David’s wishes there will be no public services.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
