David Miller Obituary

The best Dad in the world, David W. Miller, 90 years young, received his angel wings on Monday, August 1st, 2022 at 9:41 p.m., at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born February 25, 1932 in Ravenna to the late Henry H. and Louise E. Kasserman Miller.  On April 11, 1964 he married the late Ruby M. Myers.

Surviving are daughters, Karen Miller (companion Bob Newman) and Susan Jordan (companion Keith Dubois) both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Amanda (Bruce) Hartley, Dylan (Sierra) Jordan and Blake Seeling; great grandchildren, Addy and Emmy Jordan; niece, Chris (Mark Lansell) Miller of Parma Heights; special neighbors, Mike and Sue Miller and Ann and her late husband Harold Newton; his care team, Bonnie, Bethany, Julie, Kristin and Nurse Emily.  He was predeceased by granddaughter, Olivia Kristin and brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Phyllis Miller.

David had no greater love and devotion than for his family.  He once said he had no interest in climbing the ladders at work and putting in overtime.  He wanted only to get through his work hours and spend time with his family.

He had a passion for traveling and cherished every trip he had with his young family and then later in life with his beloved Ruby.  David was the definition of a gentleman and was friendly with every person who crossed his path.  David’s knowledge of history was astronomical, his passion for all modes of transportation and his photographic memory could reference every make, model and date of production.

David was a member of The Walnut Street United Methodist Church.  He retired from A.E.P. after decades of service and was a member of the Southern Ohio Antique Car Club and a 32nd degree Mason.  He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Celebration services will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022 in WARE FUNERAL HOME with Minister Rick Hartley officiating. There will be a private burial at Grandview Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.  Friends may call at WARE FUNERAL HOME from 3 – 4:30 p.m. the day of the celebration.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Air Force Museum Foundation, P.O. Box 1903, Wright Patterson A.F. Base, 45433.
