David A. Penrod, Jr.

     David A. Penrod, Jr., 54, of Frankfort, passed 4:54 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022 in the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly.

     He was born April 4, 1968, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late David A. Penrod Sr. and Rosemary Eidenhour.

     Surviving are several aunts, Debby Roe, who raised him, and Shirley Gray; an uncle, William Bower; several cousins, including Natalie Roe and Chris Roe, all of Chillicothe; friends, whom he referred to as his “Brothers 4 Life”, Jim, Duane, Buddy and Tommy; and his faithful companion, his dog, Blue.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Avis and Milburn Penrod, who also had a hand in raising him and aunts and uncles, Donna Peters, Larry Penrod, Sue Bower and Ralph Roe. 

     David retired from Chillicothe Correctional Institution where he had worked as a Corrections Officer.  He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1626, was an avid Bowler and loved to fish.  David was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan.

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
