David A. Yates

     David A. Yates, 56, of Chillicothe passed 11:48 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2023 in the Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center.

     He was born February 19, 1967, in Ross County, Ohio, to William Leroy and Adren Jacqueline Hettinger Yates, both whom survive of Circleville.  On September 30, 2018, he married the former Holly Williams who passed June 3, 2020.

     Surviving are daughters, Teresa Yates and Bobbi Yates, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Liam and Liberty; a brother, Robert Yates, of Mesquite, TX; a sister, Kathy Jo Chancey, of Circleville; a niece; 4 nephews; 2 uncles; and many cousins. 

     David was a member of Yellowbud Chapel.  He graduated from Circleville High School and also Columbus Community College.  David had worked as a welder, at RCA Thomson Consumer Electronics and DuPont.  He was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved to hunt, fish and trap.  In addition, he was known for his love of Ohio State Football and his sense of humor.  Above all, David loved his family and cherished all the time he got to spend with them.

     A celebration of his life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Charles Ott officiating.  A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Springbank Cemetery.
