David Kenton Betts Obituary

David Kenton Betts, 62, of Chillicothe, passed away 12:17 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2021 in the Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born August 10, 1958, in Ross County, to the late James and Margaret Bryant Betts.

Surviving are a daughter, Kelsey (Andrew) McKinney, of Reynoldsburg, OH; a son, David Kenton Betts, Jr., of Chillicothe; brothers, Richard “Dick” Betts, Steve (Diane) Betts and Rickey (Kathy) Betts, all of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Patricia Bryant Betts and Lois “Sue” Bower and brothers, James Betts Jr., Terry Betts, William “Kenny” Betts and Clyde Betts

David worked in maintenance at Ohio University – Chillicothe. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1626 and was a former member of AMVETS Post 4.

A public graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Mitchell Salyers officiating. A private visitation will be held in WARE FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday evening.
