Deborah (Davis) May Obituary

   Deborah Sue (Davis} "Debbie" May, 71, of Chillicothe died 10:30am Saturday, August 28,2021, at Adena Medical Center following an extended illness.

   She was born August 22,1950, in Ross County to the late Andrew and Winona (Horn) Davis. She was married to the late Milliard McComis who preceded her in death in 1986 and to her beloved Charles May who also passed away in 2006. Also preceding her in death are her siblings Shirley Ann Davis, Linda Casto, Richard N. Davis, Loraine {Church) Price and Virginia Ellis Miller.

   Surviving is a stepson, Terry McComis who lived with her until the time of her extended nursing care. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Teresa (Jay) Gambill, Shirley {Chris) Brown, Patrick (Barbie} Church, Philip (Barbara) Miller, Andrew McCarthy along with several great nieces and nephews and brother-in-law Paul Miller of Frankfort.

   Debbie worked for many years at the Clerk of Courts and for Durable Products in Frankfort before retiring. She was an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served in the ministry of "God's Kitchen," which provided monthly meals to those in need. She was also an active member of the Agape Sunday School class and sang in the worship choir.

   A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. There will be no graveside service or calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of WARE FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Tabernacle Baptist Church "God's Kitchen" fund which will be used to provide meals to those in need.

   The family wishes to thank the Adena ICU staff for the professional and compassionate care they provided during Debbie's final days.
