Deborah A. "Nanny" Smith Obituary

Deborah A. “Nanny” Smith, 67, of Chillicothe, passed at 12:43 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 2021 at her home following a brief illness.

She was born October 7, 1954, in Chillicothe, to the late William A. Jr. and Bonnie A. Shoemaker Smith.

Surviving are her life partner, Sue Costoff; a god daughter, Teresa (Tim) Holman; grandchildren, Whitney (Seth Rodgers) Wagner and Abigail Wagner, all of Chillicothe; brothers, Bob (Vivian) Bowles, of Chillicothe, Thomas (Deborah) Smith, of Maysville, KY, Bill (Ann) Smith, and Daniel D. “Boom” Smith, of Chillicothe; a sister, Janet (Steve) Reed, of Dothan, AL; and several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Wendy Costoff, Teresa Cournow, and a special nephew, Rick Costoff; many friends, including close friends, Mike (Crystal) Martin, Chuck (Nancy) Urick, Mendy Yates and Jamie Butterman, all of Chillicothe. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Bailey Wagner; and a brother, Ernest Bowles.

A private funeral service will be held for family. In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
