Deborah (Debby) J. Roe

     Deborah J. (Debby) Roe, 73, of Chillicothe, passed 10:26 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022 unexpectedly at Adena Regional Medical Center.

     She was born September 23, 1948 in Gallia County; raised in Ross County by the late Milburn and Avis (Sparks) Penrod.  On June 27, 1970 she married Ralph J. Roe who passed on December 26, 2018.

     Surviving are children, Natalie Roe, Chris (Shannon) Roe both of Chillicothe and a bonus daughter, April (Todd) Stewart of Kingston; grandchildren, Ryan and Jordan Schobelock, Piper and Jeremy Stewart and Georgia Kellough; brother, William Bower of Chillicothe; sister, Shirley Gray of Chillicothe; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cecil (Ellen) Roe of Tarlton, Kenneth Peters, Geraldine Woods and Pat Penrod all of Chillicothe; special daughters, Rona (Roger) Kellough and Dywynn Moody both of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by nephew, David A. Penrod, Jr. whom she raised; sister Donna Peters; brothers, David A. Penrod and Larry Penrod; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sue Bower, Jessie (Mick) Hart, Donald (Dorothy) Roe, Robert Woods; her best friend Georgia Throckmorton Moody.

     Debby was known as Aunt Dee Dee to many.   She enjoyed bingo, Tweety Bird, the Golden Girls, the beach, bowling and especially her grandchildren.

     She retired from C.C.I. where she worked in the personnel/payroll office.  She was a member of the V.F.W. 108 Auxiliary and American Legion #62 Auxiliary.

     Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday June 27, 2022 in WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Friends may call from 4 -6 p.m. on Sunday.
