Debra Wing, 70, of Chillicothe, passed, while surrounded by her loving family, at 5:21 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024 in Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born May 24, 1954, in Ashtabula, OH to the late Gurdon and Wilna Jennings Eidens. On February 14, 1987, she married her loving husband, John E. Wing, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Brian (Michele) Bell, of Columbus; a granddaughter, Delaney Bell; step sons, Brent (Jennifer) Wing, of Frankfort and Chris (Beth) Wing, of Bellefontaine; step grandchildren, Lea Wing, Heather Wing, Jackson Best, Gavin Best, Paige Wing, Dylan Wing; step great grandchildren, Demitri Wing and Nova Spindler; a brother, Frank (Bonnie) Eidens, of Ashtabula, OH; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, her dog Parker. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Rebecca Eidens and an infant daughter.
Debra had a Master’s Degree in Education. She had taught for many years at Miami Trace Elementary Schools and went on to work for the Ohio Education Association where she retired in 2012. Debra was currently working at Danbarry Cinema in Chillicothe and as a poll worker for the Ross County Board of Elections. She was an avid reader and loved to watch movies. Debra enjoyed participating in local book clubs.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024 in Springlawn Cemetery, Williamsport, Ohio with Minister Danny Dodds officiating. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
