Dolores Payne Obituary

Dolores Mae Payne, 90, of Kingston, passed away 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021, in the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born February 8, 1931 in Ross County to the late Hollis and Garnet (Clark) Landrum. On June 11, 1948 she married Vernon R. Payne who preceded her in death on October 6, 2006.

Surviving are sister, Mickey (Bob) Howe, of Frankfort; half-sister, Fawn Egerton; special nieces, Lisa (Jim) Chaffin, of Kingston and Lana Fairchild, of Chillicothe, several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, Trent Chaffin, Alyx Chaffin and Caroline Corcoran and a great-great nephew, Carson Marnell. She was predeceased by sisters, Carlene Chaffin and Marvene Howard; and brothers, Harley Landrum, Dean Landrum and Larry Woods.

Dolores attended the First Wesleyan Church and Lighthouse Baptist Church. She enjoyed her flower garden.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 11 at 1PM, 2021 in the Lighthouse Baptist Church with Pastor Ryan Bevan officiating. Burial will follow in Sigler Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed.
