Donald E. Bloomfield

     Donald E. Bloomfield, 62, of Portsmouth passed at 3:20 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2025 in SOMC, Portsmouth, Ohio following an extended illness.

     He was born March 23, 1963, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late James and Jean Ann Morgan Bloomfield.

     Surviving are sons, Joshua Johnson, Joseph (Tara) Johnson, Matthew (Theresa) Bloomfield and Ryan Bloomfield; grandchildren, Jasper, Christian, Haylee, Sierra, Charity and Cheyenne; a great grandson on the way; brothers, Mike (Linda) Bloomfield, Carl (Claudia) Bloomfield, David Bloomfield, Bill Bloomfield and Ernest Burton; sisters, Marsha (Hal) Lutz, Janet (Jr. Boggs) Johnson and DJ Gill; several nieces and nephews; and many friends including Kevin Fannin and Shelby Snyder and his dog, whom he loved dearly, Katie.  He was predeceased by his father, James Bloomfield; mother, Jean Ann Mullins; a brother, Dennis Bloomfield; and a nephew, Christopher Bloomfield.

     Donald worked for Mega Maintenance and Bost Painting.  He was an avid fisherman, loved being outdoors, enjoyed Ford Mustangs and liked to collect coins and sports cards.  Donald was always on the go.  He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

     A visitation is being planned.  The times will be announced once they are known. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the WARE FUNERAL HOME to help with funeral expenses.
