Donald E. Iuler, 96, of Lewisburg, TN, formerly of Chillicothe and Upper Arlington, died 11:37 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born March 15, 1926, in Chillicothe, to the late John M. and Mary Armstrong Iuler. On April 14, 1949, he married the former Ruth A. Bay, who died June 6, 2015.
Surviving are sons, Robert E. (Ruth) Iuler, of Lewisburg, TN and Stephen (Elisa) Iuler, of Grove City; grandchildren, Keith Iuler and fiancee’ Sheena, Heather (Joe) Henry, William A. (Stacy) Gaumer and Kimberley (Julian) Toth; great-grandchildren, Caleb Henry, Grace Ann Iuler, William A. Gaumer III, Jillian (Ralston) Foster and Dakota Toth; great-great-grandchildren, Reid and Raife Foster; and a nephew, John (Kathy) Hayes, of Chillicothe. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Iuler; a sister, Catherine Hayes; and a nephew, Jim Hayes.
Donald was a WW II U.S. Army veteran. Donald was owner and operator of the former Iuler Hardware Store in Mt. Sterling, OH. He later worked as a salesman for the former Smith Brothers Hardware and was the former owner of a Stanley Steamer Franchise.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, August, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with The Rev. Richard Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the Ware Funeral Home 12 to 1p.m. prior to the service on Thursday.
