Donald E. Stewart

     Donald E. Stewart, 83, of Chillicothe passed 11:17 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2024 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

     He was born February 27, 1941 in Fayette County to the late Kenneth and Gladys (Holley) Stewart.  On September 30, 1972 he married Maxine K. Gragg who survives.

     Also surviving are children, Donnie (Amy) Stewart, of Washington C.H., Marty (Maria) Stewart, of Alabama, Rhonda (Jason) Pooler, of Washington C.H., Michael Stewart, of California, Candy McDonald, of Greenfield and Jeff (Karen) Stewart, of Washington C.H.; 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Bob Stewart; sisters, Sue (Jerry) Brandel and Linda Merritt; and his newest fur baby, Molly.  He was predeceased by brothers, Kenny, Jim and Jerry Lee Stewart; sister, Shirley Runyon; sister-in-law, JoAnn Stewart; brother-in-law, Larry Merritt; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Ruby Gragg.

     Donald loved his family and was a member of Shady Glen CCCU, where he helped to build the fellowship center and the adding on of the church.  Donald cherished time he spent in Florida and loved traveling.  He had a passion for restoring old cars and enjoyed collecting coins.  His favorite past time was remodeling his homes.

     A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Twin Township Cemetery with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  There will be no public visitation.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
