Dorothy I Johnson

     Dorothy I. Johnson, 82, of Chillicothe passed 10:19 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2024 at her residence.

     She was born November 6, 1942 in Lancaster to Glen and Evelyn Baker Tatman.  On December 3, 1960 she married Earl Johnson who survives.

     Also surviving are children, Earl Eugene Johnson, Donna K. (Patrick) Kerns, Patricia (Fredrick) Leasure and Candy (Trevor) Goehring, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Amber, Joshua, Donna, Fred Jr., Sarah, Tara, Earl (Bub), April, Nicole, Austin and Luke; and many great grandchildren; sister, Fern (Willard) McCray, of McArthur; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Kay Johnson; father, Glen Tatman; mother and step-father, Evelyn and Herschel Johnson; a brother and 4 sisters.

     Dorothy was a homemaker for her family.  She was a good Christian woman, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  Earl and Dorothy met at Spud Run Church over 64 years ago.  Together they built their home across from the church where they spent the rest of their lives together.

     Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024 at Spud Run Bible Christian Church with Reverend Junior Maddy officiating.  Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church from 12 p.m. until the hour of services on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
