Dorothy A. McAfee Obituary

Dorothy A. McAfee, 88, of Richmond Dale, died 5:15 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 at her residence.

She was born October 16, 1934, in Chillicothe, to the late William Mason and Ruby Mae Cash Smith. On November 7, 1953, she married John L. McAfee who died April 7, 2013.

Surviving are grandson, Joshua D. (Annie) French, of Chillicothe; great grandchildren, Faith (Clayton) Curtis, Landen Walker and Jackson French; a great great granddaughter, Hope Curtis; a brother, Larry (Pauline) Smith, of Amanda; a sister, Connie (Neil) LaVeck, of Amanda; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Robert L. McAfee; a daughter, Barbara A. French; sisters, Ernestine Osborn, Marie Moore, Jean Posey and Linda Smith; and a brother, William J. Smith.

A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in Little Mound Cemetery with Rev. Jay Bowman officiating. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
