Dorothy M. Strouse

   Dorothy M. Strouse, 84, of Chillicothe, passed at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

   She was born November 28, 1940, in Ross County, to the late Ott and Elizabeth Penrod Baker.  On September 10, 1986, she married John R. Strouse who survives. 

   Also surviving are a son, Marc (Cindy) Graves, of Chillicothe, Steve (Marta) Graves, of Los Angelos, CA and Kelly (Kyle) Graves Young, of Chillicothe; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, including Amanda (Armando) Polizzi whom she raised, Clark Graves, II,  Wesley Davis, Calvin (Madeline) Davis, Nikobe Graves, Elijah Graves, Todd Bost and Gina Bost Seymour, Eric Graves, Scott Graves, Nick Graves and Heather Graves  ; step-children, Tina Strouse Kimberlin and John Strouse, Jr. and several nieces and nephews; plus many special friends.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by children, Jackie Bost, David Graves and Clark Graves; a sister, Elaine Mulford; and a brother, Ott “Sonny” Baker. 

   Dorothy was a member of the Community of Christ Church and had worked at Rite-Aid as a Cashier for 30 years.  She was an active member of her community.  Dorothy lived like Jesus did, loving everyone unconditionally regardless of their circumstances.    

   Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Harry Harrel officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
