Duane Evan Francis

Duane Evan Francis, 69, of Circleville formerly of Richmond Dale, passed 8:45 pm Tuesday, October 22, 2024 in Logan Elm Health Care peacefully after a long fight with Parkinson Disease.

     He was born  August 17, 1955 in Chillicothe to the late Marvin and Clara Ison Francis.  On December 15, 1973 he married Judy K. Glatting who survives.

     Also surviving are sons, Christopher Francis, of Pickerington and Derrick (Brooke) Francis, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Terrell, Trustan, Jalen, Adrianna, Kitana, Trenton and Daxton Francis; sister, Pam (Ron) Zeisler, of Chillicothe, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Terry and Beth Glatting, of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Janet Thornton, of Chillicothe; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by an infant sister; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Barbara Francis; brother-in-law, Kevin Thornton; father-in-law, Thomas Glatting.

     Duane was a retired E/I Technician at Mead Corporation.  He loved to travel and was an avid golfer before the illness took the ability away.  Duane greatly loved his grandchildren, to whom he leaves the legacy “there is never a bad time for ice cream.”

     The family would like to a special “Thank You” to the wonderful staff at Logan Elm Health Care and Heartland Hospice for the care they gave Duane.
