Earnest H. "Bud" Ward

Earnest H. “Bud” Ward, 80, of Chillicothe, went home to be with the Lord at 12:52 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born July 23, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Herman and Betty Sibole Ward.  On September 24, 1994, he married the former Deborah J. “Debby” Gray who survives.

Also surviving are sons Paul Shannon (Peggy) Ward, of Waverly, E. Brian Ward, of Albany, GA and Shannon (Mandy) Biddle, of Vine Grove, KY; grandchildren, Kyle, Leigh, Nathan, Charlee and Jessica; great grandchildren, Sloane, Rylan, Ryker and Kolton; a sister, Ellen Ramsey, of Waverly; several nieces and nephews; and a special neighbor, Denny Mogan.  He was predeceased by a brother, George Ward and sisters, Barbara Miller and Treva Newsome. 

Bud was a member of Sandy Chapel Enterprise Baptist Church.  He had worked at WearEver and also for Jay-Carr Construction. 

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mack Walk officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
