Edna Mae Palmer Bledsoe Obituary

     Edna Mae Palmer Bledsoe, 94, of Londonderry, passed at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025 in Edgewood Manor of Wellston following an extended illness.

     She was born October 1, 1930, in Ratcliffburg, Ohio, to the late Roy E. and Vera Belle Maxwell Palmer.  On December 31, 1951, she married Thomas Sydney Bledsoe who passed December 16, 1970.

     Surviving are a son, Bruce Wayne (Peggy) Bledsoe, of Londonderry; a daughter, Wanda June Howcroft, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Shelly Vititoe, Aaron (Rachel) Bledsoe, and Jeremy (Sasha) Bledsoe; great grandchildren, Jeremy, Brian, Wyndham, Levi, and Silas Bledsoe; a brother, Roy “Bud” (Effie) Palmer, of Allensville, OH; a sister, Coralee Marie Bryant, of West Jefferson, OH; and several nieces and nephews including April (Ritchie) Braithwaite.  She was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Alice Palmer and a nephew, Jeff Bryant. 

     Edna retired from Frontier Community Services.  She had also worked for the United States Post Office, Kroger, Sundry News and Allens Grocery Store.

     A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in Boblett Cemetery with Gabrielle Ward officiating.  There will be no public calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME. 

     In keeping with Edna’s wishes, please do not send any flowers.  Instead, please consider a memorial contribution in her name to a local church or charity of your choice.
