Eleanor Mae Himelrick

Eleanor Mae Himelrick, 84 years old, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away on December 10th, 2024 at the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

     She was born on March 20th, 1940, to Loretta (Smith) Betts and Ashford Tackett.

     In 1993, she retired from WearEver and since took time to enjoy her family and time with her beloved husband, Ervin B. Himelrick, Sr., whom she married in July 17, 1957.  She enjoyed antique shopping, thrifting, collecting glassware, and was always down for an adventure with her family. 

     Eleanor is survived by daughters, Annette Darlene Boydston and Rebecca Lynn (Danny) Shoemaker; grandchildren, Shane (Katrina) Snodgrass, Ryan Mitchell, Bryan Himelrick III, Keith “Dustin” (Tara) Shoemaker, Angela (Travis) Hooton, Tanae (Christian) Thomas, Kambra Himelrick and Noah Himelrick; great grandchildren, Hannah, Madison, Landen, Nicholas, Mathias, Saphyre, Arabella, Jade, Haylee, Haylie, Kadence M., Kadence S., Joey and Aiden; sisters, Sharon (Robert) Kellough and Rosetta (Donnie) Betts; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Ervin B. Himelrick, Sr.; sons, Ervin B. Himelrick, II and Kenneth R. Himelrick; sisters, Mary, Judy and Joyce; and brothers, Ben, Clifford, Mike, Charlie, Danny Sr., Larry, Ronnie and Bill. 

     A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024 in Little Mound Cemetery, Richmond Dale with Pastor Dean Hughes officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
