Eliza Belle Smith

     Eliza Belle Smith, 83, of Londonderry, died 11:19 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Adena Regional Medical Center of Covid 19.

With our deepest sadness we want to let our family and friends know of the passing of Eliza Belle.

     She was born May 1, 1938 in Scioto County, to the late William Irving and Caroline Gillum Johnson.  Eliza Belle married the love of her life, Henry N. Smith, on November 13, 1955.  They enjoyed 51 wonderful years together before Henry passed on May 12, 2007.

     Eliza was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed.  She enjoyed gardening, her green thumb grew the most beautiful flowers.  She also enjoyed hunting ginseng. She was a very active and strong woman.

     She is survived by her children, Jeannie (Tony) Arbaugh, of Londonderry, John (Barb) Smith of Londonderry, Rick (Becky) Smith of Perry, Ohio; grandchildren Thomas (Charlene) Arbaugh of Circleville, Keith (Verlina) Arbaugh of Londonderry, Mary (Jake) Hay of Circleville, Ricky Jr. (Tiffany) Smith of Ohio, Nick, Mindy, D.J, Trenton, Josh, Nicole and Shianee; great-grandchildren Kayleigh Snowden of Columbus, Kaitlyn and Brandon Arbaugh of Circleville, Austin and Andrew Smith of Circleville, Crystal, Maylee and Dalton.

     There will be a grave side gathering to be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Boblett Cemetery located at 51581 Old US 50 Ray/Vinton, Ohio 45672.  The funeral is under the direction of the Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe.
