Elsia Hutchinson Obituary

Elsia M. Hutchinson, 81, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 2:35 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis following a brief illness.

She was born July 29, 1940, in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Woodrow and Perlia Hale.  On March 24, 1962, she married Gene Hutchinson who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Tammy Hutchinson, of Chillicothe; a son, Donald (Susan) Hutchinson, of Chillicothe; brothers, Eldred (Mary) Hale and Wilbur (Suzie) Hale; sisters, Sandy (Junior) Jenkins, Nora (John) Dixon, Cynthia Jenkins and Judy (Rick) Doles; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister, Sally Faye Close and an infant brother, Johnny.

Elsia retired from Kenworth Truck Company where she had worked for many years.  She was a much loved wife, mother, and friend to many.  Some knew her as the flower lady, tomato lady, and candy lady.  Elsia loved talking about her plants, flowers, and bushes.  She was the only lady we knew that could grow something beautiful from nothing.  We all learned a lot from her.  She will always be loved in our hearts and memories forever and we look forward to the day that we will be together again.

A private graveside service, with Pastor Bruce Viar officiating, will be held in Little Mound Cemetery, Richmond Dale.  Family and friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022.

You may sign her online register at www.warefh.com
