Eric D. Young

Eric Daniel Young, 51, of Orient, passed at 3:39 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in Mt. Carmel Grove City Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. 

     He was born July 26, 1973, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Kenneth and Dorothea J. Mack Young. 

     Surviving are a daughter, Eternity Young, of Orient; a son, Ericson Young, of Orient; siblings, Brenda (Melvin) Pritchard, of Chillicothe, Tina (Chidozie Ulonna) Young, of Columbus, David Young, Kenneth K. Young, Steven J. Young, all of Chillicothe, Yvette Young, of Gahanna, Tanya Rosales, of Columbus, Kendra (Larry Fox) Young, of California, and Danielle (Anthony) Carango, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his fiancee, Jennifer Burlile who passed August 25, 2024; a brother, Jeffrey Allen Young; and a nephew, Eric Young.

     Eric worked at Torrid Warehouse in West Jefferson.  He was greatly admired by his all of his co-workers.  Eric was known to them as “Teflon Don”.  He was loved by his family and many friends and will be sadly missed by all.

     The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff at Mt. Carmel Grove City for the wonderful care given to Eric and love shown to our family during this difficult time. 

     Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor John Hocker and Pastor Stanley Kennedy officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held in the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
