Ernest Wintersheimer Obituary

   Ernest D. Wintersheimer, 74, of Kingston died 4:15 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2023 in Embassy Valley View following a extend illness.

   He was born June 6, 1948 in Chillicothe to the late Russell W. and Wilma (Herman) Wintersheimer. On April 24, 1971, he married the former Dorothy “Dottie” Newton who preceded him in death on July 5, 2018.

   Surviving are children; Mark (Erica) Wintersheimer, of Chillicothe, Christina (Paul) Whitley, of Frankfort and, David Wintersheimer, of Kingston; grandchildren, Lacey, Skylar, Victoria, Mark Robert, Tyler, Payton, Logan, and Lincoln; a great grandchild, Perseus; sister, Karen (Phil) Malott, of Chillicothe; brother, Russ (Judy) Wintersheimer, of Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Gene Kness.

   Ernest retired from Kenworth and was a veteran of the United States Air Forces during Vietnam. He was also a member of the Get Along Gang.

   Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.  The Ross County Veterans Honor Guard will be conducting military honors.
