Ernestine Gordon Obituary

God Saw You Getting Tired

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you and whispered,
“Come to Me”

With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best

She found comfort during the end of this world leading towards the beginning of her next, reading Psalms 32:8(“I will give you insight and instruct you in the way you should go. I will give you advice with my eye upon you.”)

Ernestine was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Niece, Auntie, Cousin and Friend to all that knew her. Her love was infectious…. The love she had for others was truly unmatched.

A Time to Love: Ernestine was engaged to marry Roberto Robinson and they had been together for 12 years.

A Time to Live:

Ernestine spent many years hosting Family gatherings with her world famous cooking..The hours she spent talking her loved ones thru how to make the “Dressing” will be forever remembered. She had a passion for Fishing with her family and spent many days out on the creek with her Sons. One of her closest Friends said "May the work that Ernestine has done speak for who she was”. Ernestine taught all she touched how to have things in order in their lives and to love and be there for eachother. She loved, lived, laughed, cried and fought her fight until the very end as a Beautiful “Strong” Woman does. We will forever love her, remember her and celebrate all the days of her life.
