Fern Eileen Detty

     Fern Eileen Detty, 84, of Londonderry, went to be with her King, 11:35 a.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

     She was born November 27, 1936, to the late James and Gladys Hatfield Fairchild. On January 10, 1959, she married Joseph E. Detty who survives.

     Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey Detty; a daughter, Robin (Jason) Wills, both of Richmond Dale; grandchildren, Chaz Willis, Breanna (Dylan) Luzader and Brittany Willis; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, James Darrell “Sank” (Donna) Fairchild, of Chillicothe, Garry Wesley Fairchild, Jerry (Georganna)  Fairchild, both of Richmond Dale; sisters, Ruth Cole, of Florida and Carolyn (Neil) Swepston, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph Eugene and Genevieve Fairchild; a sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Ernie Brewer; a brother-in-law, Ronald Cole; a sister-in-law, Barbara Fairchild; a niece, Judy Comfort; and an infant sister, Shirley Irene. 

     Fern was a very active member of Richmond Dale Church of God.  She retired from Miami Gravel / Shelly and Sands where she had worked for 47 years.  Fern was a prayer warrior and a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother.  She was a beautiful Christian example to everyone who knew her. 

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 in the Richmond Dale Church of God with Pastor John Evans II and Pastor John Evans officiating.  Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
