Forrest L. Zinn

Forrest L. Zinn, 87, of Chillicothe passed 1:47 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2025 at his residence following a brief illness.

     He was born October 10, 1937 in Jackson, Ohio to the late David W. and Veneda Bard Zinn.  On June 3, 1960 he married Shirley Morris who preceded him April 25, 2008.

     Surviving are children, Kim (Rodney) Yates, of Springfield, Jason Zinn, of Chillicothe and Forrest “Jimmy” (Kathy) Zinn, of Springfield; grandchildren,  Julie (Benjaman) Wadsworth, Randy (Daniela) Patterson, Tucker Zinn, Sara (Casey) Leslie; great grandchildren, Drake Wadsworth, Ashley (Roenn) Richardson and Christian Wadsworth; sister, Myra Webb, of Waverly; brothers, Charles and Dick Zinn; a special friend, Bea Drummond, of Chillicothe.  He was predeceased by brother, Walter Zinn and sisters, Marilyn Hill and Patricia Lou Bailey.

     Forrest retired from the U.S. Army following 20 years of service.  He was a member of Jefferson Avenue C.C.C.U.

     There will be a private service, with military rites given by the Jackson Honor Guard, held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Mark Clendaniel officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
