Frank A. Jenkins, 85, of Chillicothe, passed at 2:49 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022 in Tuscany Gardens, Pataskala, following an extended illness.
He was born March 9, 1937, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Rev. Charles W. and Hazel N. Messik Jenkins. On June 15, 1957, he married the former Betty L. Borland who survives.
Also surviving are sons, Douglas A. (Cindy) Jenkins, of Pickerington, OH and Daniel A. (Eric Moreno) Jenkins, of Dayton, OH; a grandson, Craig A. Jenkins; a brother, Joseph (Kay) Jenkins, of Plain City, OH; and a sister, Lois (Harry “Buck”) Deskins, of Tipp City, OH.
Frank served in the Ohio Army National Guard and Ohio Air National Guard. He was a charter member of Brookside Church. Frank was the owner and operator of the former Mound Builders.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with his son, Rev. Douglas A. Jenkins, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday.
Following the graveside service, a memorial dinner will be offered by Brookside Church 2215 Egypt Pike Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
