Franklin L. Clary

     Franklin L. Clary, 79, of Chillicothe, passed at 7:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025 in CareCore at Westmoreland following an extended illness.

     He was born October 3, 1945, in Vinton County, Ohio, to the late Sidney and Olivia Radcliff Clary.  On August 7, 1965, he married the former Carolyn K. Shaw who survives. 

     Also surviving are sons, Jeffry Clary and Jamie Clary, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Bryce (Chelsea) Clary, of Blanchester, Corey (Samantha) Clary, of Athens, Curtis (Jessi) Clary, of Chillicothe, and Connor Clary, of Chillicothe; great grandchildren, Weston, Brantley, Lucille, Sterling, and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. 

     Franklin was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.  He retired from Chilpaco where he had worked as an electrician.  Franklin was a 4H Club Advisor for the Country Freebirds 4H Club for many years and had also served as a Barn Superintendent in the steer barn at the Ross County Fair.

     A memorial service will be held 12 Noon on Monday, July 28, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Aaron Hines officiating.  Family and friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon prior to the funeral service on Monday.  A private burial will be held in Londonderry Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
