Fred L. Bushatz, Jr., 64, of Chillicothe, passed 11:37 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born July 26, 1958, in Ross County, to the late Fred L. Sr. and Bertha M. Rutter Bushatz. On June 22, 1999, he married Jana L. Grable who survives.
Also surviving are children, Michelle (David) Reed, of Jackson, Lynette (Charlie) Stewart, of Chillicothe, Rachel (Brice) Quincel, of Circleville, Deidre Stout, Kassandra Bushatz, Dalton Conrad, Dylan Bushatz and Lacey Bushatz, all of Chillicothe; a nephew, who he raised, David Grable II, of Chillicothe; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Sandra) Bushatz, of Chillicothe; sisters, Malinda (Victor Townsend) Wollenburg, of Chillicothe and Martha (Robert) Shoemaker, of Chillicothe; numerous nieces and nephews; father-in-law, David Grable, of Chillicothe; a sister-in-law, Joni (Shane) Strausbaugh, of Chillicothe; and a special friend, Bill Bennett, of Chillicothe. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Ginger Grable; sister-in-law Jody Grable; and special uncles, Carl and Wayne Rutter.
Fred served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and retired from YSK where he had worked for 20 years.
The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff of NCR Hospice of Waverly for the wonderful care given to Fred and compassion shown to our family during this difficult time.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Chaplain Jeremy Schinkle officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the directions of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
