Gary Cunningham Obituary

Gary A. Cunningham, 75, of Chillicothe, passed away 4:58 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born October 9, 1944 in Chillicothe to the late Wilmer “Bill” and Ora Belle Walker Cunningham. On September 3, 1966 he married the former Bonnie Jean Hudson who preceded him in death May 11, 1994.

Surviving a daughter, Melinda J. (Dennis Russell) Garrison, of Chillicothe; a grandson, Seth Garrison; sisters-in-law, Judy Rinehart and Pamela Bowers, both of Chillicothe and Roberta Cunningham, of Florida and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Darrell (Jean) Cunningham; a brother, Paul Cunningham; sisters and brother-in-laws, Clarabelle (Edwin) Caplinger and Janet (Paul) Collins.

Gary retired from Chilpaco and was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was a lifetime member of the F.O.E. Aerie 600, Amvets Post 4, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1626 and American Legion Post 62.

Private family graveside service will be held Monday, August 10, 2020 in Grandview Cemetery with Pastor Vera Walker officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday.
