Gregory J. Hurles, 69, of Chillicothe, died 12:20 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born October 17, 1951, in Ross County, to the late Darrell J. and Frances L. Clay Hurles. On June 5, 1971, he married the former Dianna Walter who survives.
In addition to his wife, surviving are children, Brian (Stephany) Hurles, of Kingston, OH, Eric (girlfriend, Theresa Lavancha) Hurles, of Heiskell, TN, Neal (fiancee, Ginny Brown) Hurles, of Chillicothe, Tara (Charles Moses) Collett, of Portsmouth, OH and Nathan (Deidre) Hurles, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Joshua Hurles, Gage Hurles, Elijah Hurles, Taylor Hurles, Emma Hurles, Ryzon Hurles, Dylan Collett, Matthew Collett, Jacob Collett, Clayton Smith and Landon Smith; a great grandson, Brock, due to arrive in July; a brother, Tony (Shirley) Hurles, of Chillicothe; a sister, Janet (Jerry) King, of Jacksonville, FL; brothers-in-law, Bret Carnes, of Chillicothe and Jonathan (Linda) Walter, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Beth Carnes.
Greg was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He had worked at the US Shoe Corporation, the B&O Railroad, Big Sandy, JC Penny, and Nourse.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2021 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Sunday.
