H. Marie Clark Obituary

     H. Marie Clark, 101, went to be with the Lord, Sunday morning October 3, 2021 at the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. 

     She was born June 9, 1920, in Ross County, to the late William Jefferson Cox and Dorothy (Rheinfrank) Cox.  On February 7, 1938, she married Albert “Buck” Clark, who passed June 10, 1974. 

     Surviving are her children, Albert (Debbie) Clark, Larry (Kathy) Clark, Nancy (Lawrence) Butler, and Debra (Tom) Cash; grandchildren, Dane (Diane) Clark, Tonya (Kendall Skaggs) Knox, Angela (Jason Walls) Chamberlin, Aaron (Heather) Clark, Chris (Melissa Kemper) Clark, John (Jennifer) Clark, Mary Clark, Joshua (Kristyl Kemmerer) Cash, Brian Strawser; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews including a special nephew, David Schrake and a special niece, Barbara Webb.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Wilby Cox, Andrew Cox, Earl Cox, Kenneth Brown, Anna M. Ault, Mary Schrake, Emma J. Kuhn, Robert Brown (infant) and Willy Cox (infant). 

     Marie attended Huntington High School.  She retired from the Mead Corporation in 1982 where she had worked for 35 years.  Marie was a member of the Massieville United Methodist Church for over 60 years and had also attended Alma United Methodist Church.  She was a member of U.P.I.U. Local 731 and the Mead Retirees Club.

     Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mark Clendaniel officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.  At the request of the family, mask WILL BE required while you are inside the funeral home.
