Hansel "George" Tarantella, Sr.

Hansel “George” Tarantella, Sr., 75, of Chillicothe, passed at 7:24 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2026 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

     He was born August 26, 1950, in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

     Surviving are a daughter, Jill (Jason) Boggs, of West Deptford, NJ; a son, Hans (Mariam) Tarantella, of Maryville, IL; grandchildren, Chase Gough, Olivia Tarantella and Ethan Tarantella; and a sister, Fran Tarantella.  He was predeceased by his parents Thomas Tarantella and Maria Anna Schaffner Tarantella.

     George retired from Ford and had also worked for Wal-Mart.  He was a member of Chillicothe Moose Lodge 1626.  George was an avid fisherman and loved his faithful friends, his cats including Slate and Rosie.

     The family request that memorial contributions be made to a Meowy Me Cat Rescue PO Box 371 Londonderry, Ohio 45647 or Adena Hospice 2077 Western Avenue Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.     

     In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
