Harvey E. McClary

     Harvey E. McClary, 86, of Diamond, Ohio, passed at 7:10 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2026 at his residence following an extended illness.

     He was born June 10, 1939, in Madison County, Ohio, to the late Audist and Gladys Shell McClary.  On March 15, 1968, he married the former Jacqueline Stranahan who passed December 25, 2009.

     Surviving are a daughter, Teresa Cason, of Marysville, OH; a son, Jack Shane McClary, of Diamond, OH; several grandchildren, including Shawn (Jami Satterfield) Caudill, of Washington CH, Jacob Adams, of Chillicothe, Jordan Adams, of Washington CH, Jason (Lena) Caudill, of Chillicothe, Jennifer McClary (Winston) Layton, Allison McClary, Jennifer McClary, Deidrai McClary and Angela McClary; great grandchildren Hunter Cuadill, Brant Caudill, Shay Adams, Kinsley Caudill, Conner Henry, Avery Siwula, Armani Layton, Ariela Layton, Ace Layton, Tamara Rohrs, Brittany Cook, Payton Minerd, Harlee Minerd and Kali Minerd; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; and his faithful companion, his beloved dog, Dinky.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Monica Adams and a son-in-law, Rob Cason. 

     Harvey retired from General Motors where he had worked for 30 years.  Over the years, he had volunteered for many church and youth organizations.  Harvey enjoyed being outdoors in nature.  He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed chopping wood and loved animals.

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Scott Miksell officiating.  Burial will follow in Lees Creek Cemetery, Lees Creek, Ohio.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
