Hazel A. Lambert, 89, of Lewis Center, OH, passed at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born February 25, 1932, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Gilbert L. and Lenora M. (Cockrell) Jenkins. In 1970, she married Robert C. Lambert who passed May 9, 1989.
Surviving are daughters, Karen Oney Henry, of Lewis Center, Teresa Oney (John) Johnson, of Circleville, and Robert J. Lambert, of Columbus; grandchildren, Leah Pruitt Parker, Patrick (Cindy) Frey and Brian (John Johns) Frey; great grandchildren, Braylee and Jackson Parker and Dominic, Gabriella and Cameron Frey; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Ann (Bill) Juenger and Viola (Ash) Tackett and a brother, Robert (Betty) Jenkins.
Hazel attended Huntington High School and graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1950. She was a lifetime member of Eagles Auxiliary. Hazel also was a member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary, The Ladies Auxiliary of the Ross County Conservation League and the Concerned Citizens for the Handicapped. Also, Hazel enjoyed all her friends at the Crispie Creme Donut Shop.
Celebration of Life services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME, Chillicothe, with Pastor Robin Wargowsky officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the service on Friday.
