Hazel M. Radabaugh, 93, of Chillicothe, died 10:15 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 in CareCore at Westmoreland following an extended illness.
She was born June 27, 1927 to the late William and Carrie Burnheimer Taylor. On November 28, 1946, she married Ernest A. Radabaugh who died February 2, 2005.
Surviving are a son, Mark A. (Cathy) Radabaugh; a daughter, Cathy L. (Mike) Hughes, both of Chillicothe; daughter-in-law, Patty Radabaugh, of Franklin Furnace; grandchildren, Robert (Kara) Radabaugh, Carri Frederick, Sara Tomlinson and Jessica (Ralph) Guysinger, Aaron (Abbie) Hughes and Andrew (Brittni) Hughes; great grandchildren, April, Rylee, Ralphie, Rayse, Lilarey, Ruby, Michael, Gracelynn and Cassandra; 2 great great granddaughters, Natylee and Raclynn; sisters-in-law, June Taylor and Margarette Radabaugh; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Betty Walls; many friends including special friends, Marjorie Hammond and Louise Jones; and her companion, her cocker spaniel, Molly. She was predeceased by a son, Steven A. Radabaugh; a great grandson, Noah Guysinger; brothers, Clyde Taylor, Bill Taylor, Carl Taylor, Walter Taylor and infant twin brothers, Albert and Alfred Taylor.
Hazel helped her late husband for many years at the Standard Oil of Ohio gas station that he managed. She attended First Church of the Nazarene. Hazel had worked with the Foster Grandparent Program thru Community Action where she thoroughly enjoyed her time working with the Kindergarten children. She enjoyed bowling and also her independence.
The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staffs of CareCore at Westmoreland and Chillicothe Regional Dialysis for the wonderful care given to Hazel and compassion shown to our family during this time.
A private funeral service and calling hours will be held Monday, March 1, 2021 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jeremy Schinkle officiating. A public graveside service will be held at approximately 1:45 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Cemetery, Chillicothe. In keeping with her wishes, you are encouraged to wear casual clothing to her services.
