Irene L. Schumann

     Irene L. Schumann, 90, of Chillicothe, passed 6:55 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center.

     She was born June 1, 1934 in Ross County to the late Elmer and Aubra Hartley Kinnamon.  On November 1, 1953, she married William F. Schumann who passed on May 3, 1997.

     Surviving are many dedicated nieces and nephews who helped her remain in her home till the end of her life and longtime care givers, Kathy Saunders and Tanya Pollock.  She was predeceased by sisters, Thelma Cottrill, Esther Shewalter and Betty Oney Cottrill and brothers, Everett and Ernest Kinnamon.

     Irene attended Trinity United Methodist Church for many years and retired from the State of Ohio Treasurer’s Office. 

     A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dennis Ray officiating.  Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.
