J.C. Collins

On Saturday February 17th at 8:33pm

J.C. Collins finished his course, and was received into his eternal reward.

At the tender age of 17, J.C responded to the call of The Holy Spirit to serve the world and the body of Christ in ministry.

During his time on earth, he served in many different capacities including youth ministry, pastoring 7 different churches, ministering to the needs of the under privileged, at-risk youth, and those in the recovery community. His life truly exemplified Matthew 25:31-40. 

It was one of his greatest joys to disciple, mentor, and pour into the next generation of ministers. He had many sons and daughters in the faith! 

He was a loyal friend, a great storyteller, and had an incredible sense of humor. He was always the life of the party. 

He had many hobbies, including writing and collecting, as well as a deep love for cinema and music.

One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandsons, watching them grow and discover the world. 

He was married to the love his life, Carol Lynn Collins for 39 years.

He was a great example of love and generosity to everyone he encountered.

”I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.“

II Timothy 4:7-8 NKJV

He was preceded in death by his father Jack Collins, his son Clark Collins and his aunt Kay Fields.

He was survived by his wife Lynn Collins, his mother Judy Collins and his siblings Jerry Collins (Jordan), Jana Carruth (Jeremey, Landyn and Avery), his children Clayton Collins (Holly), Megan Murray (Jon), Cristian Collins (Sydney) and grandchildren Zephaniah, Finnley and Oliver and many special friends and family!

A celebration of life service will be held Friday the 23rd from 4pm-6pm at Open Door Church, 3130 S. Bridge street, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.

Calling hours for friends and family will be Friday the 23rd from 1-4pm at Open Door Church.   Arrangements are under the direction of WARE FUNERAL HOME.
