Jack Lee Armstrong, 81, of Punta Gorda, FL, died 8:03 a.m. Saturday, January 1, 2022 in Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, FL following an extended illness.
He was born September 4, 1940, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late John Charles and Jean V. Cottrill Armstrong.
Surviving are a daughter, Leigh Ann Armstrong, of Chillicothe and former wife and mother of his daughter, Carolyn M. Sayers, of Chillicothe. He was predeceased by his mother and stepfather, Jean V. and Emery Ferguson; father, John Charles Armstrong; and brother, Jerry Armstrong & sister in law, Evonna Armstrong, nieces, Melissa (Kevin) Armstrong-Topy and Kathy Armstrong; 2 great nephews and a great niece.
Jack served in the United States Army. He was an electrician and was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 683 and American Legion Post 103. Jack was a former member of AMVETS Post #4 and F.O.E. Aries 600.
There will be no funeral services or calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
