Jack O. Barrows

     Jack O. Barrows, 70, of Chillicothe passed 5:50 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2025 after a brief illness.

     He was born February 7, 1955, in Chillicothe, to the late Jack E. and Helen DeLong Barrows.  On April 19, 1980, he married the former Mitzi Crowe who survives. 

     Also surviving are a son, Nick (Amy) Barrows; a daughter, Lindsey (Mark) Lightle; grandchildren, Cami and Brix Barrows and Reese and Wells Lightle; a sister, Karla Barrows; brothers, Randy (Monica) Barrows, Mark (Joan) Barrows and Doug Barrows; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brothers, Joey and Mike Barrows.

     Jack retired from Western-Southern Financial in 2012 after 25 years of service.  He had also worked at Kroger and recently worked at the Chillicothe Jaycee Golf Course.  Jack was an avid golfer and was a member of the O.M.G. at Unioto.  He loved spending time with his grandkids. 

     The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to Dr. John Seidensticker and the staff of Adena Hospice for the wonderful care given to Jack and compassion shown to our family during this time. 

     Family and friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date in St. Margaret Cemetery with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Adena Hospice 2077 Western Avenue Chillicothe, OH 45601.
