James R. "J" Grizzle

     James R. “J” Grizzle, 47, of Chillicothe passed 9:39 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at his residence following an extended illness.

     He was born October 31, 1977, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Ronald Gene Grizzle and Betty Hall. 

     Surviving are his companion, Terri L. Long; children, Allison (Todd Cottrell) Mays, of Greenfield, Jeremy Burger, of New Jersey, and Arietta Reynolds, of Zanesville; stepchildren, Halee Hitch, of Chillicothe, Anthony Blankenship, of  Chillicothe, and Jesse Powell, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Cali Cottrell, Paisley Cottrell, Journey Cottrell, Lucas Hitch, Lucy Powell, Havana Ragland, and Huxlee Blankenship; brothers, Joe Grizzle and Ronald Grizzle; sisters, Cheryl (Jesse) Hall and Rhonda Grizzle, all of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Joshua Hall.

     J drove a semi for J.B. Hunt where he was honored for being a Million Mile Driver.  He was a hardcore Ohio State Buckeye fan.

     A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
