Janetta Jane "Janie" Duffy

     Janetta Jane “Janie” Duffy, 95, of Chillicothe died 9:58 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Liberty Village following an extended illness.

     She was born October 7, 1925, in Jackson County, Ohio, to the late Chester and Edith Sands Graves.  On August 16, 1947, she married Theodore Duffy who died September 20, 1991. 

     Surviving are sons, Lee (Valerie) Duffy, of Youngstown and Brian (Fredalene) Duffy, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Brett and Megan Duffy, Matt Lewis, Kevin Duffy, Theodore (Pamela) Duffy, III and Sarah Duffy; several nieces and nephews; and a former daughter-in-law, Liane Rowe, of Georgia.  She was predeceased by a son, Scott Duffy. 

     Janetta was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  She had worked as an office secretary at the Mead Corporation and was a member of various Women’s Clubs.

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Michael Rhoads officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday.
