Jean Wilcox Obituary

Jean E. Wilcox, 85, of Chillicothe, passed at 12:47 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024 in Traditions of Chillicothe following an extended illness.

She was born June 20, 1939, in Omega, Ohio to the late Mark and Ruth Stauffer Rapp.

Surviving are a sister, Charlotte (Jerry) Beeler, of Chillicothe; a brother, Steve (Valerie) Rapp, of New York; and several nieces and nephews including a special niece and nephew, Debra Proehl and Don (Nancy) Rapp. She was predeceased by her former husband, Ivel Gene Wilcox, Sr; a son, Ivel Gene “Geno” Wilcox, Jr.; brothers, Paul and Robert Rapp; and sisters, Dorothy Stidham, Mildred White and Evelyn “Billie” Proehl.

Jean worked as a nursing assistant.

A private graveside service will be held in Omega Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
